Katrina Kaif plays lead role in Devi Choudhrani with Arjun Rampal

Ghosh's this decision to cast Katrina Kaif as Devi Choudhrani in Devi Choudhrani was a surprice to many. Again he surpriced many by signing Arjun Rampal for a significant role in the film.

Ghosh says the role Arjun plays in the movie is not so substantial in Bankimchand Chatterjee's book Devi Choudhrani. But Ghosh has developed the character and made it pivotal to the story.

This talented filmmaker's decision can raise hackles over over his choice of actors, but the Ghosh says Katrina Kaif and Arjun Rampal suit their roles perfectly.

Arjun was finalized for the part after a long meeting between the actor and the filmmaker recently.
